FranklyLegal was founded in November 2007 to provide services and solutions at work for the legal and corporate communities. Together, its principals have more than 60 years of integrated experience.
It is often said that you can find proof in the details. The company’s founder, Francis P. Welsh, Jr., has more than 20 years of unique legal experience spanning parts of three decades as a litigation paralegal and manager. Frank’s legal experience covers more than 7,500 cases, matters and projects. His trial experience reflects preparation, attendance and participation in more than 125 trials, hearings, mediations and arbitrations in at least 12 States with more than 30 lasting at least a week touching almost every area of practice.
Early in his paralegal career, Frank was asked to cover the weekly calls of the Philadelphia CCP Asbestos & Toxic Tort Trial and Motions List at the complex litigation center.
Every week for almost nine years, Frank was given an unprecedented and rare opportunity to work alongside hundreds of lawyers and gain access to an important part of the litigation community few have ever seen.
Usually the only paralegal in attendance, Frank observed and worked inside asbestos litigation for almost a decade. More than that, however, Frank was also asked to attend monthly meetings of the joint bars, meetings of the Joint Neutral Defense Committee, meetings of the Asbestos Property Damage Committee, and Multi-District Litigation (MDL) meetings.
Many of today’s top lawyers and litigators, including current law firm owners, directors, partners, practice group leaders, general counsel, and business executives developed their careers alongside Frank while they were young and still learning. Frank gained the trust and respect of these lawyers and litigators, many of whom today serve as a basis for FranklyLegal’s relationships.
